Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the website remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how you use the site. OralSpares uses cookies and similar technologies to operate our dental case management platform effectively.

2. Cookies We Use

3. Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to operate. They enable core functionality such as:

  • Keeping you signed in to your account
  • Managing your session securely
  • Protecting against cross-site request forgery (CSRF)
  • Routing requests correctly across our infrastructure

These cookies cannot be disabled as the platform will not function without them.

4. Analytics and Marketing Cookies

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage data. This helps us understand which features are most used, identify performance bottlenecks, and improve the platform experience. Google Analytics cookies include:

  • _ga — Distinguishes unique users (expires after 2 years)
  • _ga_* — Maintains session state (expires after 2 years)

We also use the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) on our public pages only — the home page, contact, careers, and the sign-in and sign-up pages. It tells us which advertising campaigns lead to an enquiry, an account request, or a job application. It is never loaded inside the signed-in platform, so it never sees case or patient data, and we do not send it your name, email address, or the contents of any form. Meta Pixel cookies include:

  • _fbp — Distinguishes unique visitors for campaign measurement (expires after 90 days)
  • fr — Set by Meta to deliver and measure advertising (expires after 90 days)

5. Cookie Consent

Essential cookies are always active because the platform cannot function without them. Non-essential cookies — including analytics (Google Analytics), marketing (Meta Pixel) and performance (Vercel Speed Insights) cookies — are only set after you give your consent through the cookie banner shown on your first visit. We do not load these cookies or send any analytics, marketing or performance data until you have accepted them.

Your consent choice is remembered for future visits. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by reopening the cookie banner or adjusting your cookie preferences, after which we will stop setting the corresponding non-essential cookies.

6. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services we use:

  • Google Analytics — Usage analytics and reporting
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — Advertising measurement on our public pages
  • Vercel — Hosting, performance monitoring, and speed insights

These third parties have their own privacy policies governing how they use the data collected.

7. Managing Cookies

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View what cookies are stored and delete them individually
  • Block third-party cookies
  • Block cookies from specific sites
  • Block all cookies
  • Delete all cookies when you close your browser

Please note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from using the Platform. If you block analytics or marketing cookies, we will not be able to collect usage data to improve our services or measure which campaigns bring people to us — everything else works exactly the same.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made.
